Rana Jalali



Rana is Managing Director of Irana Consulting since 2015. Rana has double degrees of Business and Engineering and years of professional experiences both in Iran and Western Europe.

She obtained her Master’s degree in Strategy and Management of International Business from ESSEC Business School of Paris in 2012. Prior to that, she graduated from University of Tehran with a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering in 2010.

She worked three years in Iran as Project Manager, Quality Manager and Sales Development Planner, respectively in Raydana group, Ofogh Consulting Engineers (OCE) and Kalleh in Tehran. Rana accomplished one year mission at Air Liquide Head Office in Paris as “Junior Business Analyst”. In August 2014 she moved to Germany and joined Konica Minolta Business Solution as “Strategic Partner Manager” for countries of Germany, Austria, Belgium and the Netherlands.

In 2015, inspired by the latest political changes and the improvement of relation between Iran and Europe, she decided to start a consulting business in Berlin and helps European companies to enter Iran. She hopes that Irana Consulting performs as a bridge that connects Iran and Europe and so facilitates knowledge and technology exchange.

Rana is based in Berlin and is native in Persian, fluent in English and has business understanding level of French and German.

Dr. Hossein Sagheby

SENIOR CONSULTANT- Smart City, Smart Home

Hossein joined Irana Consulting at 2015 as a senior consultant in the smart city field.

He is also a professor at the HTW – University of Applied Sciences in Berlin. He acquired his Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Conversion from the University of Tehran and his Doctoral degree from Technische Universität Berlin (TU Berlin).

From 2009 until 2015 he worked at the Hermann-Rietschel-Institut of TU Berlin, the worldwide oldest Research Institute of its kind in the area of Building Technologies. His positions included Lecturer, Research Associate and Project manager.

Since 2015 he is holding a position as a professor in the Major of ‘Building Energy and Building Information Technology’ at the ‘Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin’. His previous work and/or research areas include, Clean Room Technologies, Bionics in Heating systems and pumping total energy consumption reduction.

Currently he is giving lectures and conducting research in the areas of Rational use of Energy in Houses, Renewable Energies and sustainable Building.

Hossein is based in Berlin and speaks native Persian, fluent English and German.

Hanah Sehatpour


Hanah joined Irana Consulting in 2017 as an Iran Market Analyst.

She obtained her Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics. Prior to that, she finished her Bachelor’s Degree in Economics at SOAS University of London.

Along with her studies, Hanah completed several internships in London and Tehran in various fields including consulting, investment banking and accounting.

Currently, Hanah is based in Tehran and London. She is a native Farsi speaker and has a professional knowledge of English.

Shayan Ghiaseddin


Shayan has joined Irana Consulting in October 2017 to give a hand in graphic design of market reports.

He is a landscape photographer, web designer, and graphic designer, working as a freelancer. He has shifted his career to visual arts in 2011, as he left the GSME business school to pursue his dreams.

As a part of Irana Consulting, Shayan works on elegance of hand-tailored reports and he also keep alive the website.

He is based in Tehran and speaks Persian and English.

Majid Mohammadi


Majid joined Irana Consulting in April 2017 to lead our on-site technical projects in Iran.

He is Managing Director of Daygan since 2008. He has been leading many engineering projects in the fields of Instrumentation, Industrial Automation and Intelligent Transportation Systems.

Prior to Daygan Majid worked at Patsa Industry as Technical Manager in the field of industrial automation. He also worked as SCADA programmer at Iran Khodro in factory automation.

Majid is PhD candidate of Electrical Engineering – Controlling Systems at Semnan University. He has master degree of Controlling Systems from University of Tehran.

As part of Irana Consulting consultancy team, Majid and his team offer technical services to European companies who have engineering projects in Iran.

He is based in Tehran and speaks Persian and English.

Wais Ahmad

CONSULTANT - Oil and Gas M&A, Banking

Wais Ahmad has developed a strong set of skills and knowledge in corporate finance and banking. He graduated as a Chemical Engineer from the Ecole Superieure de Chimie Physique Electronique de Lyon in 2011 and hold a Master Degree from ESSEC Business School.

Throughout his professional years spent in London, he has acquired an in-depth experience in banking, having worked for Societe Generale and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation as an Oil & Gas Upstream Finance Analyst, where he and his team were in charge of arranging debt financing for Oil&Gas Exploration & Production companies. This enabled Wais to hone his knowledge in the Oil & Gas industry, after working as an intern in TOTAL. Following his years in banking, he joined a small E&P oil & gas company where his main role was to evaluate the economic potential of oil & gas assets in West Africa, reporting directly to the Board of Directors.

Born in France, and Afghan from his parents, Wais has lived in five different countries and speaks French, Persian, English and German. He has developed a deep interest on Iran and Persian culture, after having traveled in Iran several times. He is now based in Lyon and works as a Consultant for Irana Consulting.

Damoun Vahabi Moghaddam

CONSULTANT - Sustainable Urban Development

Damoun joined Irana Consulting at December 2017 as consultant for sustainable development.

He is a trained architect who has taught and practiced for several years. With over 10 years of experience as a heritage consultant, during which he joined UNESCO in Tehran between 2004-2007 as Program Consultant for Culture and worked on the organization and implementation of UNESCO’s cultural activities in the four countries of Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan and Turkmenistan which this Cluster Office services.

In 2008, he obtained a Masters degree in World Heritage Studies, specifically heritage conservation and management from the Brandenburg University of Technology, Germany, a UNESCO Chair in heritage studies, and was awarded the UNESCO-Vocations Patrimoine ‘World Heritage Managers Award’ for his research in this field.

Damoun is also a Doctoral Researcher in the field of Sustainable Urban Design and Planning under the ‘Young-Cities’ Project at the Technical University of Berlin, developing energy efficient urban fabric for future new towns in Iran, under the support of the Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst and the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research.

Damoun is based in Berlin and is bilingual in both English and Persian as a native and has a professional knowledge of German.
